Competitive Warzone changes

The official Competitive Warzone has now been updated with changes requested by the competitive players.

 

Here is what we changed [edited on Monday, May 05 2014]:

 

Weapons

 

VC30

  • Increased spread of pellets by 15%
  • Reduced damage ranges by 50%, enemies will be much harder to kill at longer ranges [28-03-2014]

LS36 Breacher

  • Removed Breacher from Competitive Warzone [28-03-2014]

LSR44

  • Should behave the same on tweak warzone as normal warzone

Kameraad

  • Reduced standing and crouched hip fire spread by 10%  
  • Reduced maximum moving hip fire spread by 45%  

 

Sta25 SMG

  • Increased damage by 15% at 3m [11-04-2014]

 

Ls21 SMG

  • Increased damage by 15% at 3m [11-04-2014]

 

StA 101

  • Decrease lock-on time for missile attachment from 1s to 0.5s [11-04-2014]

 

StA 61

  • Decrease lock-on time for missile attachment from 1s to 0.5s [11-04-2014]

 

LS 70

  • Decrease lock-on time for missile attachment from 1s to 0.5s [11-04-2014]

 

Sta59

  • Decrease lock-on time for missile attachment from 1s to 0.5s [11-04-2014]

 

Sta4

  • Decrease lock-on time for missile attachment from 1s to 0.5s [11-04-2014]

 

 

Abilities

 

Air Support Drone and Turret

  • Reduced health by 25%

Air Support Drone

  • Reduced damage by 50% at all ranges [28-03-2014]

We also updated the Competitive Warzone with the following changes:

 

  • Added The Hanger and The Cruiser
  • Removed The Wall [28-03-2014]
  • Added Turrets and Air Support Drones
  • Disabled all flashlights
  • Set point limit in Capture & Move and Capture & Connect to 100

Why would you only limit these changes to that specific warzone? Apart from limiting flashlights those changes should be across everything.

No way dude.

Nerf for competitive, absolutely. 

 

But between the lack of people playing support properly and me trying desperately to get those support abilities ground out so i can get to playing properly, I'd rather NOT have the air support or the turret nerfed

Killing drones isn't a huge problem, it's the damage they do.

 

For feedback, I'm curious if there is any way we can get a limit for each team to how many drones they can have out at one time? Like 2 air drones, 2 turrets at max? I think that would be the best way to test it out, though I don't know if that is possible.

 

Also, wall should not be in. The map's lighting is not good for competitive, super dark with blinding flood lights is a no go. Maybe one day if you guys make a day version of the map it would be good, but until then I have seen maybe ONE team actually want to play on the wall, everyone else avoids that and forest like the plague.

Nerf for competitive?! Are u serious? They're not even that big of changes and basically what you're saying is that you're ok playing with a broken non competitve game all the other times. Sounds fun!!

First we are rolling it out with the competitive players, if we have a solid base we can rol those changes out a cross the all the Warzones.

- Reduce the rate of fire of turret and air drone by 25-50%

- Also limit the number of turrets and drone's  - a max of 2 turrets and 2 drones per faction. Increase regeneration time as well.

 - remove petrusite OR allow a faction to throw a single petrusite only once every 3 minutes.

- increase the default health of a player by 25% so that we can have longer gun battles (what do others think about this?)

Lol...b interesting to know who these competitive players are....

 

Suprised so little is banned, but the devil is in the detail, I may have to take a look at this at some point...

 

Though if this is the basis for clan matches related to leaderboards I might give this a miss as boost has gone, and that is fun.....maybe I'll just play Co-op...if its as good as I think it could be...

Thats great and all but no one plays that warzone. I tried this morning and there were only 5 ppl in the warzone with 2 games. WTF? The matchmaking needs get fixed first,IMO
