This post focuses on questions surrounding Unlock Points.

There a couple of issues that we need to address:

1. Everything Unlocked/Double XP
2. Getting unlimited Unlock points through promotions
3. ‘Missing’ Unlock points

Everything Unlocked/Double XP

This has been a problem since the launch of the game that we have not been able to solve. Why? We are dependent on other people to fix this and it is not going as quick as we would like it to. This is very annoying for us, but even more annoying to the people who are affected. We are sorry about this. My sincere hope is that this is resolved in the upcoming week. But we can’t guarantee this, as it’s out of our hands.

Getting unlimited Unlock points through promotions

Last week a retailer offered the Retro Pack and Unlock Points through a promotion and this was not working properly. Abusing the offer meant an unlimited source of Unlock Points. Please note: we consider this a form of cheating and are thinking about the proper way to take those Unlock Points away, but keeping the promotion intact. We have not decided how to deal with these people yet.

Missing Unlock points

Some people have reported that they did not get any Unlock Points when leveling up. Or that they are missing Unlock Points. The Unlock Points system works in a way that calculates the points you should have for your rank, plus any entitlements. It does this every time you rank up. So if you have (for some reason) not received enough it will give you extra the next time you rank up. Or if you have received your Unlock Points already (but had to re-rank due to the losing XP issue) then you won’t get the Unlock points a second time. Also, when you spend Unlock Points, they stay spent.

We have looked into this thoroughly and we double checked 14 users that raised this issue:

In all cases that we examined it turned out that players had received the correct amount of Unlock Points or slightly more (probably due to ranking down after losing XP but still getting the Unlock Points).

Please use the rest of this thread ONLY to report Unlock Points issues. If you are 100% certain that you are missing Unlock Points please state the exact issue and we’ll look into each case. But before you do that double check you Unlock Points in-game against the table below.

This table excludes the Unlock Points that you have gotten through a promotion. To calculate your own total of Unlock Points add up the points that you have spent correctly and Unlock Points that are not spent yet.

thank you for bringing this up. (maybe this can be a sticky thread because it is important?!)

I did not get all the unlock points. I get them around every level. as example :

level 15 : yes

level 16 : no

lever 17 : yes

level 18 :  no

etc.

I made a picture of me ranking up as proof :

My rank is Major III which means I must have 42 unlock points at the moment.

However I only got 19 unlock pojnts (+ 3 with the Helghast Edtion which makes a total of 22).

So I'm missing 23 points and I hope I can get my missing points back someday.

Please check your own stats carefully before posting problems. Because it takes time from us to check and we don't want to check needlessly.

It shows that you have bought 22 different unlocks (abilities and weapons). They vary in cost from 1,2 and 3 Points. So you have spent much more than 22 points.

Can you please verify this?

Hey GG i just bought the Collectors Edition from Australia.

i only recieved one code which was inside the steelbook case.

i entered this code into my Psn Accnt(UK )

then i was able to download the retro map pack and the theme and the soundtrack(awesome soundtrack BTW)

after everything downloaded in like 15 minutes i switched on killzone 3  and i didnt see anything unlocked neither my 3 Unlock points or my double XP.

What to do now?

i really want them .

do i have to enter the code somewhere else too? or is this a server problem?

ah I'm sorry LevTrin12. Stupid of me that I dind't thought about the cost of the abilities

still strange that Killzone 3 sometimes said I didn't get any unlock points, while I got all my 42 points.

maybe it was missing XP from the blood gracht bug that downranked me, but that I didn't see that

Some levels I miss out unlock points, but as LEV said I get them awarded for the next level so I don't worry about it anymore.

My situation-

 I got no unlock points for levels 25 and 26, when I got to 27 I got 9! Which is the number i am supposed to get as i missed a total of 6 from level 25 and 26. I don't have to worry about missing unlock points when i level up because sooner or later i get the missing one's awarded.

Before complaining test my example out. And count how many points you have/spent to the corresponding level and match it up with the cumulative points.

If you still got a problem post like you life depends on it! XD

u should get 9 poinnts only because u get 3 points for ur level 27 upgrade, then u get 3 point s for ur 26 and another 3 points for ur 25 so in total 9 points. rread the table above

yes am saying why i have no problem with the unlock points, becuase it just fixes it self in the long run. i will edit my post to make it clearer.

That's exactly the message that I'm trying to get accross. The amount of Unlock Points is checked every time you rank up. So any mistakes will get solved automatically.

Yes

Alot of my friend were angry that they were getting no unlock points. i just told them level up and watch the magic, problem solved. Honestly LEV everyone i explained to, does not have a problem anymore. i may be wrong but I am certain that people just need to level up again to get them.
