So is this game dead?

I traded in my copy of KZ shortly after the PSN outage back in April. At that time the game was pretty much dead among the comp players. I decided to check back here for reminiscence and have noted a bunch of patches that we were asking for way back when the game released.

So im trying to find out if the player pool has returned of if the game is pretty much done and filled with mostly a casual player base.

Full games every night... some glitchers are around - some laggers too.  But all in all still competitive as ever.  Mind you there are some trolls here that don't play the game and will say crap that this game is dead.  Don't believe them for one second.

no casuals. on the contrary. people keeping the game alive are those that can't get enough of it.

No this game is DEAD as ever. and hasn't been competitive since 1st couple months. Even then it wasn't HALF as competitive as Kz2

I agree with BadApple. Almost any time of day or night, depending on the region/server you are on, you can usually find full games. If they are not completely full, the empty slots usually fill up within 10-15 minutes.

There has been a realivelty large influx of new players. I hear most of them talking on mic about how they just got the game or got it for xmas. Most of them have just completed the regular game mode and are now going to online mulitplayer mode.

I love the Killzone franchise and I hope people keep playing. For me, it is better than Black-Ops, MW3 and BF3 combined. I just don't find the mayhem and extremely fun levels of chaos that occur in KZ3 to be happening in the other games. But that;'s just my opinion.

.....Also, I just love hearing that death chirp sound, esp with multi kills!

Eventually I found out that game is broke. I played Killzone a bunch and loved it, so I decided to buy KZ3 next.

It doesn't leave my PS3.

I picked the game up in November & have had no issues finding Full or good games every night.

If a server is empty or some what empty when joining it fills up very fast.

Not sure if it's dead.  But I couldn't be bothered to wait to find full games kz 3, it's such a hassle when U can jump into Kz 2 and have no issues what so ever in finding a full game with in a min.
