Like i said in my own previous post.
1. Expanded Operations modes
2. Operations: Survival.
A Survival Mode where you have to survive waves of online enemy players instead of the ordinary survival, which pretty much every First Person shooter these days are aiming at...
(These were still fun though, just not original anymore in my opinion. )
(Battlefield, Resistance, CoD, Uncharted, Gears of War for example.)

please make the center of the crosshairs actually hit something.... maybe only widen the crosshairs so that players have to use their own sense of skill to where the center is......
EG... for less accuracy simple widen the crosshairs even more, but don't do what you do now and spray the bullets everywhere to make some fake accuracy simulation if the player has the dead center of his cross hairs on his target then he should get the hit as it is the players skill that is determining the aiming and not some crappy algorithm that becomes useless when the game lags....

Campaign:
-More focused story-progression that the player can't help but care about. All it takes is one clearly defined end goal and a meaningful reason to attain it, with each level providing a unique, significant challenge to help you get closer to it. Could be a boss fight, sabotaging enemy plans, gathering resources to use for later, anything that elevates the gameplay above simply "kill these guys to advance everything". Make at least one or two of the big kills per level have exceptional purpose and importance to them, whether it's plot advancement or maybe a personal vendetta side mission type of thing for unlockables. Immersion can take care of the rest.
-More in-game story telling. No more jarring cutscenes taking you out of the action unless they pertain to what you're doing or are about to do.
-Darker, more menacing Helghast. With enemies this iconic, I'm not nearly as afraid of them as I should be.
-Gameplay that plays off of the environment more. Think of one on one gunfights in the dark with Helghast where sound design and muzzle flash lighting are your best friends. Or maybe a flashlight attacnment. Which leads my next point...
-Customizable weapons, with attachments that can be found in the environment after some searching. Risk/reward-based.
-Destructibility that matters more, preferrably dynamic. Can't kill that Helghast sniper from a certain angle? Take out support beams from underneath his tower/post/etc.
-A more rewarding, meaningful ending.
-A Helghast campaign, or at least a mission or two from their perspective. It could help in building the contrast between what the two sides are fighting for, their struggles, etc. Anything to become more in tune with the characters.
I've been reading the hardcover Futurepress guide (which is excellent) for KZ3 and the fiction in the Killzone universe is so rich that it's a shame it isn't done more justice in the games yet. They have so much material to work with that sometimes maybe it works against them in terms of focus?
In short, tighter game direction and more unique, interesting goals in gameplay to advance the plot would make for a hell of a next Killzone.
Others here have pretty much covered the multiplayer portion (balance, custom games, etc.).

PLEASE PLEASE No more Tatician Bots!!
This is one of my fav classes but those flying bots are most annoying things to shoot and espicially when they freeze in one spot!

I have to disagree, I love sentries!! I hate when they shoot me, but KZ wouldn't be Killzone without them, we don't fly aircraft in the game, there are sentries, a unique game element that lets us get on with the gunplay.
I like that the game doesn't focus on piloting vehicles, it's pretty much you and your gun/exo/jetpack (direct soldier modifications). I might change my mind if there were bigger maps, but the level of detail is so good in KZ3, I like that there is a complex environment to explore, Killzone 3 took the environment interactions such as climbable map structures, debris, and multi-level vertical buildings and landscapes to a new level. I don't know if larger maps with less detail are needed just to accommodate vehicles... I don't want to drive to the "Kill Zone", I want to be smack bang in the centre of the action at all times. If GG can maintain the intensity on larger maps with vehicles then great, I can't continue to speculate on vehilces too much as I'm not aware of their spawn system, intensity has a lot to do with close proximity to the enemy, as long as I am able to get to the enemy within a reasonabe amount of time and continue the battle without long runs and drives to the Kill Zones... ![]()

Like i mentioned before, i want a story that solves all the plotholes of the previous games.
Storywise, i want dept...
Example of the story's plotholes
1. We never got to know what happened in those six months when the ISA got lost on Helghan.
2. Jammer seemed like a very interesting character and had a good voice actor, we just never got to know anything of her an just appeared out of nowhere, like if she's always been part of the story.
3. What happened to Natko, Luger an Hakha?
When it comes to the art design, everything looks fantastic imo. It's just a shame that there has been so much stuff untold.
For example,
1. How come all the Helghast soldiers are bald and the ones we've seen in Killzone 3 weren't?
2. Why didn't the awesome looking white Helghan soldiers with blades show some personallity, or at least talk? If they couldn't talk, how come they couldn't?
3. Some of the ISA soldiers had some sort of special eye. What was it meant for? I want to know what kind of vision it shows.
Like i mentioned before, the art design looks fantastic, but for some reason some of the less known ISA soldiers/leaders looked really ugly and a little too uninspired compared to the others.
Now i seem very negative, but that doesn't change the fact that i still loved the game for many reasons. Overall, Killzone 3's story was fairly entertaining IMO. It just really lacked on dept. The over the top story and action cutscenes didn't fit in the game, especially since it is meant to be this raw, realistic sci fi shooter.
Killzone 3 is still my favourite shooter next to Killzone 2.

The immersive feel, amazing set pieces and pacing, graphics, art design and pretty much everything else makes Killzone 3 my favourite shooter next to Killzone 2.
The story still has a lot of potention for a sequel.
