Re: what do you do when this happens?

Glad the advice helped, you're welcome! :smileyhappy: Having all that crap turned on can really affect how well you do in a game sometimes. I hardly pay attention to my map and points when I play kz2 and have noticed if I spend more time paying attention to my score, the map, and the scoreboard I don't do as well as I would've like too (that and I end up not being as good of a team player). Also after you've bulit up enough confidenct to the point where you go positive every game you play with veteran/elite bots with your crosshairs/hud off, you can take that "whole new leverl of fun" to an even bigger level and try playing a few ranked warzone with your stuff off and test yourself against actual players (they can be just as hard, if not, harder than bots sometimes). You may have a hell of a hard time at first again, but I guarruntee you'll have even more fun playing like that with actual enemy players.

Re: what do you do when this happens?

Yep HUD off is a great way to play Killzone, there used to be a weekly game called Hardcore Tuesdays where everyone playing agreed to play with HUD off.  Someone should bring it back ( maybe I will ) so much fun during assassination and S&R. :smileyhappy:

Re: what do you do when this happens?

you know that sounds like fun.

yeah, trying to find the assassination target (or even your own team's to help defend) is tough with all that turned off. i found that if i'm not right on top of the search and return speaker i lose track of it.  i run around listening for the propaganda voice.  ha ha ha great exercise.

also, i noticed that not knowing how many rounds of ammo i have left changes the way i play too. after a while, i stopped worrying about it.

i played around with the sta18 pistol too. i got a couple of kills with it from a considerable distance.

i will be on holiday beginning tomorrow and wont return until Feb. 26/27.  if a "hud"off" game does happen around that time, i'm interested.

i'm on the west coast of the united states, pacific standard time zone.

That's your answer to everything Vvic :smileyvery-happy: I bet you use the same tactics when trying to find a parking space at the mall :smileytongue:

For me as others have mentioned Tac+Boost and hope that others will use the spawn you've placed, sometimes all other players need to see is someone escaping the maelstrom and they instantly grow a pair of cajones and escape themselves.

HC Tuesdays were fun.....though there was always someone who suspiciously knew where that dropped speaker was

Re: what do you do when this happens?

i tried a game online with displays turned off.

i ended one game something like:  8kills and 12 deaths

the second game somewhere around 12 kills and 21 deaths.

lost connection on a third game.

Re: what do you do when this happens?

Look at the timer, if its early on and its a long game with 30 minute rounds ill stay around for a little while then leave lol. If not then ill treat the round a little like body count. There are those games when even throwing out spawns wont save your team.
