what do you do when you are having a bad game?
your team is being base camped.
your kill death ratio is 18kills to 55 deaths.
your team has no chance at winning any objectives.
you spawn you die.
me, i keep trying.
when i am at around 20 deaths to 3 kills i change my tactics. i figure i'm outgunned, might as well try pistols or try a different character. so far i never quit. should i?
what would you do?

I normally switch to tact with boost and try and get a spawn out somewhere away from the raping, thebn suicide and spawn on that spawn and run near to their base and place the second one out ( hopefully invisible spawns if possible ) Although I have done that before and my team still spawns at the base and continue to die.
in that case I switch to grunt with LMG and just do my best. Sometimes if friends are on I msg them to join and help to turn the game around.

Practice is really all it takes; here's some tips for you to try out and also test yourself at the game:
If I see myself or my team getting base raped, i switch to tact (if i'm not one already) and throw a spawn point in a "sweet spot" inside the base that will spawn me and my teammates outside somewhere (practically every map has a sweet spot or 2 for doing this.) these sweet spots take time and a sharp eye to spot. Usually they're found in open vents, open ceiling tiles/grates, cracks/holes in walls/floors, or in between/behind objects. Just start an unranked match with either a friend (one with experience is recommended, but not required) or by yourself and just practice throwing "well placed/hidden" spawns. Remember, the best spawns are never clearly visible, or camped.
If it's been a while since the last time i've played kz2, before hopping online, i'll hop into skirmish and play 3 matches against veteran and elite bots (the 1st match is with veteran, and the 2 others are with elite). Skirmish is there for practice (so are unranked games too); take advantage of both of them and see if you can get similar scenarios that you get online to happen with bots as apposed to with real players. Yes, it's challenging to play with veteran/elite bots, and you will die alot your first 10 or so times you try playing with elite bots, but if you can go positive in an unranked/skirmish match with veteran/elite bots and learn how to handle tight situations, then you will have a much better chance of going even/positive online against harder players.
Next, try playing a practice match with everything turned off. (crosshairs, hud) by doing this, you pay more attention to your surroundings and sounds and yes, you might suck at first, but trust me if you do this, you will become a better and stronger team player.
Never never never never, NEVER quit. Winning isn't everything (it's nice to win, but losing isn't the end of the world); just know that not every game you're going to do well at.
Lastly: Don't worry about your kdr so much, all it is is a number. Yes, it has some importance to it, but what's more important is that you're being a team player and helping your team out with mission objectives.
Hope you find this stuff helpful.

Greetings W35thST. You're certainly earnig a good reputation. I usually do what minner71 does. Boost out and drop a SG. The strange thing about doing this is that so many team mates still insist on spawning in the home base and continue to get massacred. What's that all about? I agree with insomniac_zack, never quit. I'll leave a room when the game is over, if the sides are hopelessly slanted, but it's not honorable to quit IMO. You should take the good with the bad. If you play out a game when you're on the heavily favored side, you should be willing to do the same when the situation is reversed. I've been killed so many times in this game, I think everyone on the other side is glad to see my tag! LOL!

Thow invisible spawns and get out of the base and flank the base-rapers and kill them all.
Check on Youtube. Every map has them.

Yup, as others have said, TAC + BOOST and just run past the campers. Sometimes it takes a couple tries but it will always work. Sometimes your teammates will continue to spawn at base, I'm not sure why. If you really are getting rocked though you might as well quit because hopefully a better player will replace you.

Try to boost and toss an SG or what I like to do is take an alternate route that no one uses and flank them. If there is no boost, I hope your skills are good to fight them off. Just saying, people who rage quit makes the game imbalanced which sucks for the team they were on. Keep trying ^_^

i tried turning off the HUD and crosshairs. it was tough. i created a game of "veteran bots" body count set for thirty minutes. i averaged 3 kills and 55 deaths playing against the bots. i went ten or twelve games like this. then i had a break out game of 22 kills and 27 deaths. i eventually had a game against veteran bots where i had 38 kills and 20 deaths.
i didn't realize how much i looked away from the target with all the displays turned on. i caught myself looking up where the points are displayed. i looked at where the health is displayed. it is a bad habit.
the game takes on a totally different feel with all the displays turned off. it's a whole new level of fun.
thanks for the advice.
