top players of Pyrrhus

Hi everyone,

As I spend the majority of my online time in the great arena of PR, Ive come to learn of a great number of players. I pay a bit more attention to the snipers, and I have to say there are some incredible snipers out there. But, I do look out for the other amazing players who continue to do amazing things. Young and old...or older :smileywink: ..congratulations to you guys. You are excellent gamers with excellent gamemanship. Its a fun place to test skills and see what everyone else can do. Clearly, I have to become much better to keep up with quality players and its one hell of a challenge. But I do enjoy it. I don't get on the forums so  I have not been able to compare who I consider  to be top performers in Pyrrhus. Im curious who the masses consider to be quality players. Silent snipers who cling to base camp  or those who actively jump into the fire? Soldiers who ferociously gun down every living thing with no team spirit, or those who perform strategically and seamlessly among their teammates? What makes a great player then? Points? KDR? Participation?

Again, I applaud the craftsmanship and skills of these incredible players I have been playing with, and against. Lets hear what you think...

Re: top players of Pyrrhus

Greetings 'ryparian'.  KZ2 has been out for two years now and most of us who are still playing are vets of the game.  It always great to see some new blood, but it's not like back in the day.  That said most of us play all classes and mix up the secondary abilities.  I think you have to do a little bit of everything you mentioned, depending on the situations and the map you are on.  I guess all I'm trying to say is that there is no one right way to do KZ2, you have to be flexible IMO.  Great Player?  You'll have to find one and ask them.  Points do reflect something.  However, many of the high point scorers I've seen, usually run up their scores with RPGs. I've broken over 500 points in games and you better believe the RPGs were flying.  I get more satisfaction out of scoring 2 to 3 hundred points without RPGs, but that's me.  Kill Ratio?  I guess that's one way to gauge a player.  I just recently dug myself out of a deep hole on that.  I still have a marginal K/R, but at least it's not negative.  LOL!  I'm a decent player, not a great player.  Anyone who doesn't GLITCH, LAG SWITCH OR QUIT A GAME is a Great Player in my book.  Sorry for going on so long.

Re: top players of Pyrrhus

Most of them have "retired" or only play for "laughs" now.

Why don't you play it regularly?

You might become one of the best the Rise has seen.

My advise would be to Not Lag, Glitch or Leave matches because you're outnumbered or loosing.

Play as a team ie. go for missions.

Practice makes perfect, just remember that everyone has an "Off Day"....or, eh...5.

Happy Killing.

This guy above is one of the best and most loyal Pyrrhus players ever, if you have not bumped into him you haven't played Pyrrhus. He is all about the team and doesn't mind dying 50 times to get the speaker home. :smileyhappy: or put out a game winning spawn.

Wehad some great matches yesterday night on pyrr, both with Von and minners.  No matter how much i try to like bf3, mw3 or any other shooter, itll never surpass the classic warzone games on kz2. think i saw the dark assassin guy aswell btw

Re: top players of Pyrrhus

I see a lot of good thins in BF3 Yza,  The scale of the maps, the graphics and the ability to use all equipment.  Unlike KZ3, BF3 is a keeper.  I'll take it out now and then and give it a shot.  That said it's not as good as KZ2 in the MP IMO.  It just doesn't have the intensity of KZ2 IMO.

I want to thank all of you for this posting.  I always considered Pyrrhus an annoying nuisance in a full map rotation.  Having read some of the comments here, I've given it another look.  As you all know, it really does a personality of its' own.  The map has strong points, like all maps do.  There is a flow tactically, that if you don't achieve, you'll lose.  I guess I'll be visitng here more often.  Please be kind to Herman and don't 'tea bag' me after you kill me. LOL!

Re: top players of Pyrrhus

PR is something of an aquired taste.

Many players leave when the game rotation comes to Pyrrhus. I guess it is usually the ones who love Radec and Blood Grath:smileywink:

Being an big fan of the Rise, I would also like to thank you all for a splendid + 2 yrs in the game. Every now and then I see new blood coming the field. Hope that you like it and stay! Most of the players seem to be so good right now, that it must be frustrating to start out with veterans running around you and bullets hitting you from far away...

Hope to see some comebacks of the top players from my own training days.

Keep on coming back.
