Returning to Killzone 2

So...I've been all over the world and back when it comes to other games in the past two years. Killzone 3 was a "just okay" follow up to Killzone 2 (which still is better than most FPS out there).

Now, I've bored of BF3 and found a second wind in Killzone 2. It's all new again to me (sorry about the accidental grenade tosses folks) and I'm planning to continue until I get my CIC....even if it takes me until Christmas of 2015.

Are there any returning "Forum Heads" that used to play, left and are now back? Just curious.

My PSN ID is ricochet67. I would login here with that, but Yasser didn't want to reinstate me.

Regardless, send me a FR and I'll see if I can team up with you. I'm GMT-6:00.

Re: Returning to Killzone 2

I'm seriously considering a 'return' too....not been in the kz2 zone for about 18 months, and like you...pretty much new to me all over again.

I'm also considering getting the DLC...does anyone know if this is worthwhile????

Re: Returning to Killzone 2

I've had the DLC since it was available. You'll get mixed reviews. Some hate...some love. I personally like the ArcTower map. Also, Beach Head and Southern Hills make it to my top 3 maps. It really opens up a new realm of game play. Also, it helps to have DLC when looking for an available room.

Re: Returning to Killzone 2

I came back after a year and change. Feels new again is right & feels good to be in the mix. I also play KZ3 so I'm in and out of both. I think he said CIC not DLC... I have 4 of the 6 and the maps are very good but most people don't run them, shame GGs to be had. So I say welcome back. Feel free to add me.

Re: Returning to Killzone 2

I too am back after a year or so absence, KZ2 is and always will be my true love.

The DLC is great but you wont find many if any full games but they are good fun in botzone, the only one I never liked was cliffside just felt too narrow :smileysad:

Arctower - a good vertical map which seems pretty equal to both teams also has a weapon pick up the bolt gun from the sp campaign.

Beach head - from KZ1 but at night with great weather effects ( can be too hectic on a 16v16 with airbots and turrets)

Southern Hills - another KZ1 map but quite different, similar to Pyrrhus Rise in look ( dusty wasteland ) with a fort in the middle of the map and a nuke that goes off every 5 or so mins ( once the siren sounds you have approx 30 secs to get indoor before it goes off and kills everyone, bots included.  You then have about a minute of reduced visibility before it settles down again ) One of my fav maps :smileyhappy:

Wasteland bullet - you either love it or hate it :smileyhappy: 2 trains hurtling down a track there are places where you can jump from one to the other but time it well or get taken out by the posts whizzing by, you can also traverse the top of the train but again look out for low flying fixtures that will take your head off. ( a little tip when on the roof line yourself up with one of the mounted turrets and run straight this way you will not get hit )

Vekta cruiser - as the name says inside of one of the ISA cruisers, a pretty equal map set on 2 levels

Cliffside - extremely narrow and another map with a weapon pick up the flame thrower.
