Glitching and Camping

Whats up everyone, in the last week of playing KZ2 I have encounter alot of glitching and campers, for all the people who glitch....why the **bleep** do you play? whats the point of buying a $60 dollar game and getting online and cheating, does that make you feel good about yourself? Does it some how make you feel better about the person you are in real life? To the campers, guys once again why buy a $60 dollar game to stay and one spot and wait for someone to run past unexspecting? Is that some way to make your stats look good? I'm just writing this from Killzone fan perspective and a gamer, dont get a game and just waste online band worth cheating and camping man!

(Happy Thanksgiving everyone and enjoy double xp weekend! KILLZONE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!)

Re: Glitching and Camping

I offer no opinion on the themes "glitching and camping", however, the Official Killzone Stategy Guide states the following:

Camping

Camping involves securing a strategic location...train your sights constantly over the area in the hopes of catching an enemy passing through and pull the trigger when he appears. The perfect camping spots will give a good view of an area the enemy has no choice but to cross...effective camping will allow your team to cut off pathways to the other team therefore limiting their options...you will then be able to lock down their movements completely(...)Successfully co-ordinated camping on certain maps will allow your team to spawn camp the other team at their Spawn Area...knowledge of camping is important...its an essential way to hold the line. Page ref200-1.

Elsewhere it states that a sniper can help his team dominate without firing a shot simply by being the "eyes and ears" through using spot and mark.

Indeed, I was spotting and marking for a team last night and was taken down by a "glitcher and camper" on Blood Gracht (behind wall of isa base). Someone else raised this point with a current post titled "a perfectly good game ruined last night."

So there are pros and cons and is just the nature of the game I suppose.

Re: Glitching and Camping

camping and spawn camping its official strategy in kz2 i am afraid.Problem is - when you join game when u team is in numerous disadvantage, u will be base and spawn camped which makes playing game pointless. i personally find such situation stupid and ppl doing that cowardly- u dont need to base camp with 10 teammates the team of 4, isnt it?
except that players in equal teams should learn how to flank enemy and get them the other way - there is always other way to flank campers, except bad design maps like tharsis or radec,

Re: Glitching and Camping

Why do people glitch? Two reasons; to get a high score easily, and to annoy other players. It seems that on this occasion, he/she was successfull at both.

Just ignore them. If you don't want them to succeed, then leave them be. Keep well away from their spot and make sure they don't get any kills.

As for camping, nothing wrong with it. In fact, it often ends up to your own advantage. A few nights back, the HG's managed to get a spawn grenade behind the tanks in ISA spawn on Radec. At first they blagged a few easy kills, then we wised up to them and kept pasting them in th corner. ISA ended up with more kills and won the BC match :smileyhappy:
