Killzone 1 online setup help on ps3

I have a ps3 60gb launch console and I have the ps2 online start up disc v.3.0. I have copied my ps2 game saves to internal ps2 mem cards on my ps3's hard drive. So the only thing I need to do is to figure out how to get killzone working online. So besides the ps2 online disc and the (ps3) ps2 internal mem cards is there anything else I would need? Someone mentioned I need to download ps2 system software from PSN store but I can't find anything like that anywhere on psn store.

Also my connection is wap2 aes, does ps2 software support that?

I've messed around with ps2 online capabilities before (not with kz1 however) but I have rebuilt our nation, i have rebuilt our strength, and I HAVE REBUILT... no but when I did ps2 online i don't think I needed any of the stuff you mentioned (as far as I remeber.) Let me know if it works!

 We need a "PS2 Network Configuration" save file on the PS3, so you either need a PS2 Network Install disc or a PS2 game that can create one. (If you had made a network file back on the PS2, that save file is not copyable with the PS2-PS3 mem card adapter.)

i have 60 gb too if you want to make it easy just get socom one it can set up your online configuration , so you dont realy need that online disc. that was what i found to be the easiest method for me . next you gotta download the kz1 patches and that can take awhile if they keep failing so i hope you have good luck. even if it keeps failing to down just keep trying eventually you'll get it.

Well I first tried the ps2 network setup disc I had which I could never get to even properly load/run, so I did some digging around and found my old original Socom game. I can't believe I still have it. Setting up my network was a breeze with that. The Killzone 3mb update got corrupted on the first try but it downloaded and installed on the second attempt.

I only played one match online so far and ofcourse it was against some repetitive douche who only plays in DM mode and only spams with the rocket or grenade launcher. But everytime I found him with "real" guns he couldn't kill me for sh*t. He emptied out all his ammo for his isa rifle and then switched to his sidearm and emptied that out and still didn't kill me so I shotty'd him in the face for trying ;-P. Lol everytime it came to a real gun on gun battle I smoked his arse but if he had a rocket or grenade launcher then he'd just spam kill me.
