Back in the Day

Killzone 1 was and still is my favorite game of al time, so few ppl played it, but i think that was something i loved about it, tha game had its own little comunity every body knew every one and who was good and who sucked, i loved the player made games the most such as manhunt at creek or slums and h2o pistols at beach,SPL at beach was favorite. remember famillyguy_death,P.I.M.P., LoCkMaN, Fruty and Cocco pebbles, [CLIRIC] ---bunch of **bleep**s, [nMe], Deadlever/Brownstone ----Mine whore, showtime, knives, rolling20s, God & Jesus Himself, Conn., Fear.,...Killzone 2 is slowly becoming 1 of my favorte games

Re: Back in the Day

I loved playing killzone 1. And youre right about the community and how everyone knew everyone else. [nMe] were some legit guys. But you left me out of your list. Anti.You.

Do you remember the clan [nut]? All of their names would be like nut-sweat, nut-hair, nut-juice. They were really good players but all they would do was mess everyone else up.

Re: Back in the Day

Yea I saw the commercial for KZ1 when it came out and i knew right away it would be THE best game. I bought it and loved it, better than all the CoD's for PS2. Even if the gameplay lacks the story is what made the game for me the helghast are just the best villains imo. I only recenlty bought a PS3 a week after KZ2 came out. I bought the PS3 for KZ2.

I just miss the Elites. They really triggered emotions of fear and urgency when someone yelled "Inbound Elites!!" you knew they were coming and they were a good forshadow i think of KZ2's sqaud system and what it should be when you play online. There were always 4 Elites, one with the standard HGH assualt rifle, one with a shotgun, one with the LMG and one with a grenade launcher. Together they really made a feirce fighting force and I think thats what online gameplay is meant and should be in KZ2, 4 ppl in a squad, each with their own class that support each other. Something along the lines of shooters where you control a squad of four and all or their actions, you're forced to make your soldiers work together and its not every man for himself. But in KZ you cant control the others in your squad so it doesn't end up that way but i think ppl need to band together more, move in squads of four checking corners and each player looking in one of the four directions for targets. F-ing Cover fire!! Online play is fun when you just run n gun but thats that standard in online play. Killzone should be setting a new standard.

Re: Back in the Day

We didn't have internet when I got the game in 2004, but I remember a friend of mine and I would spend hours upon hours playing offline multiplayer against the AI bots on Hard mode. It was awesome, and we played endlessly for a good couple of years. Even now we play a match every now and again. I just wish KZ2 had co-op on Skirmish or something. Then it'd be absolutely perfect.

Reporting in.

If any of you vets are looking for a clan check mine out in the clan forum, it's a clan for oldschool Killzone 1 players.

Piano_Man, a lot of the people you mentioned I still play with, only on Killzone 2 now.

Re: Back in the Day

Man KZ1 was beasty back in the day (still is) I couldn't get online so i had to be happy with the offline play, but that wasn't hard cause it was just flat out awesome!
I swear though they should've kept the sniper the exact same, that thing was BOSS, and the scope on that thing was so hard to get used to but once you did you could just completely wipe everyone out with it...

The best game ever made! =]
