New to me school bullying about consoles

My sons are 12 and one of them has started getting bullied a bit at school.

Verbal - nothing physical.

Some of the other children are games fans, but they have been having a go at him.

Why?

1) He doesn't have an Xbox

2) He doesn't play Modern Warfare.

My points are we have a PS3 and that is good enough and gets enough usage - no time to play another console, also why would we need an XBox when we have a PS3?

Also he is 12 not 18, I think it is irresponsible to let a 12 year old play on line with a 18 rated game. He is allowed with 15s though

Modern Warfare, never bought one, is it any good? Too expensive for a quick purchase, and from what I have read the publishers annoy PS3 users.

So it seems that to stop this I need to fork out for an inferior console and an inferior game, no chance.

I told Jack it is an inferiorority complex, they are trying to make up for their lack of Uncharted  /Resistance / LBP / Killzone / Motorstorm / Gran Turismo / Rachet & Clank ect.

Don't give your kid the casual COD, specially on 360. Xbox live is full of 10 year olds crying on mics (that might explain his friends).

I like that bit., Not not going to give in, no 18s on line until 15 years old at least.

Mind you he really wants a go on KZ

I'd let my 12 year old play KZ3.... but I don't have any kids.. so I'll let my nephews play it.... (I do)... anyways... I think KZ3 is fine if you don't let the kids use the mic.....

(their father lets them watch Nightmare on elm st movies, so surely a bit of KZ3 won't hurt....)

My 9 yr old doesn't play ps3,he has a 360 I bought him along w/ age appropriate games,his mom and I have bought for him...see what I'm saying,parents need to be better at parenting,I commend you! When your on kz again listen to the little kids on there and most are playing with their parents watching or present smh wtf smh

They grabbed the controllers once when I had to dash to the kitchen one was aiming, one was moving.

Managed one kill then got killed.

Anyway if KZ3 MP is on, I'm playing so near to leveling up
